2002: Started every game and completing 57.3 percent of his passes (208-363) for 2,242 yards with 12 touchdown passes and 15 interceptions . . . Netted 21 yards rushing for 2,263 yards of total offense . . . Put together strong performances in Tech’s back-to-back victories over Virginia and eighth-ranked NC State, completing 47 of 77 passes (61 percent) for 431 yards in those two contests . . . Completed 26 of 41 passes for 220 yards and one touchdown against the Cavaliers . . . Was 21-for-36 for 211 yards and a touchdown the following week against the Wolfpack . . . Made perhaps his biggest play of the season in the fourth quarter against NC State; with Tech trailing by a touchdown and facing third-and-19 at its own 11-yard line, he hit Jonathan Smith for a 28-yard completion to help set up the tying score . . . Season highs of 28 completions on 45 attempts for 272 yards against Maryland . . . Had a string of 126 consecutive passes without an interception, the third-longest streak in school history . . . Completed 10 f 13 passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns in his Tech debut, leading the Jackets to a 45-3 win over Vanderbilt.
AT TENNESSEE: Played in seven games in 2000, including four starts . . . Completed 81 of 139 passes for 785 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions . . . Came off the bench in the season opener and hit four of nine passes for 75 yards and one touchdown against Southern Mississippi . . . Started the following week against Florida and hit 17 of 29 passes for 140 yards . . . Tossed a 68-yard touchdown pass against Louisiana-Monroe . . . Tied the school record with 37 completions on 59 attempts against LSU . . . Passed for 319 yards, three touchdowns and two two-point conversions against the Tigers, including the tying score with 1:30 left in regulation . . . Completed 13 of 21 passes for 96 yards against Georgia . . . Redshirted in 1999.
HIGH SCHOOL: Georgia Player of the Year by the Atlanta Touchdown Club, the Macon Touchdown Club and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution . . . SuperPrep all-America . . . Led McEachern High to an undefeated regular season and a berth in the Class AAAA state championship game his senior year . . .
